Making movable type

I had a chance to play with lead letters in a creative bootcamp. It was great fun just stamping around the funzine I made there. Way before that I had a plan to carve a word from linoleum each day, going through the abc.  After the bootcamp I changed the plan and made single letters, so that I could make words from them.

First I had to finish the Linotype emblem that laid on the bottom of a drawer. Then I designed my letters on paper using a Parallel Pen and started carving letter by letter, a few each day.

Then I put them in action. The more letters I had the more words I could build. Printing words laid out on a foil was a bit cumbersome on the old bookpress I have. Still I really enjoyed playing with different colors on different papers and finding words to showcase all letters.
