Application of a folk art motif

// Give new birth to an obsolete figure //

My choice fell on this funny little guy from the Sárköz region of Hungary, where I have relatives. It's called “little dog” but to me it rather resembles some weird kind of bird. Anyway, I wanted to look for something that is not overused.

I decided the purpose would be to apply the motif on wine labels. I made the library research, extracted a simplified form of the motif and made different versions based on original varieties. Also the variations match their names – “Bundás” meaning fluffy, “Fickó” is fellow or chap and of course “Cézár” is Ceasar.

I made color choices for different types of wine, chose a totally simple script font for the names and this is what turned out.
